Are you a big fan of Kinoko no Yama? Today I want to share exciting and interesting news for those who love this traditional mashroom-shape treat from Japan!

Meiji announced on November 17th the launch of wireless earphones that resemble the iconic chocolate snack "Kinoko no Yama" in spring 2024.

Originally showcased as a fictional product on their official account on X (Twitter), the overwhelming desire for its actual release prompted the decision to bring it to market. With ambitions to expand "Kinoko no Yama" and "Takenoko no Sato" as global brands, Meiji plans to equip the earphones with simultaneous translation functionality supporting 127 languages.

Imagined wearing concept with the chocolate part serving as speakers.

The "Kinoko no Yama wireless earphones" are a collaborative creation with product designer Michiru. The chocolate part of the snack is transformed into speakers, designed to fit snugly in the ear. The case itself mimics the packaging of the actual snack. The simultaneous translation feature operates by downloading a dedicated app on smartphones, enabling synchronization with the earphones.

When Meiji posted the concept on X back in July with hashtags like "#MeijiUnusualMerchandise," it received over 260,000 likes and garnered more than 1100 comments, many expressing a strong desire for the product to become a reality.

These earphones will be available in limited quantities. Details regarding pricing and sales methods will be announced in the near future.

Excited about these innovative earphones? We'll be delighted to assist you in acquiring this unique product once it hits the shelves!
